Running and owning a PC platform
A PC has many user areas and is extremely flexible. However, many companies are discovering that running a PC and its applications is becoming very expensive
- Especially if the user sees the PC as "his", and uses it for many different purposes.
Costs can be cut dramatically by standardizing a PC and treating it as a work tool:
Limiting the number of different models and applications directly affects capital, licensing and support costs.
Automating the distribution and installation of software dramatically cuts the need for support.
Delegating certain tasks (such as user administration, resetting codes, re-installation etc.) to administrative staff or users cuts the number of calls to the helpdesk.

Saragosta has extensive experience of client platforms in partnership with the Swedish solution provider Zipper. By combining this experience with the flexibility of Microsoft's software, We have packaged an efficient solution for running PC clients. The concept is called FastTrack, and is based on Microsoft's products, Microsoft's Best Practices and our own experience of implementation and roll-outs.

The Concept
Saragosta provides cost-effective IT infrastructure for companies using well-defined concepts directly or via international partners. Saragosta's concept is entirely built on Microsoft components, such as Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft System Management Server, Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Active Directory and is based on research and development undertaken by Zipper AB.

Saragosta and BDD
This concept is Saragosta's implementation of Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) and contains many years' concentrated experience and know-how. The diagram above shows in which sectors the concept works.
FastTrack is available in two forms, FastTrack Standard Edition and FastTrack Enterprise Edition. The Standard Edition mainly aims at mid-sized companies, while Enterprise Edition primarily aims at major groups and global companies.
